» It is ironic that Mother nature, so abused by the greatest polluter of the planet, has got her own back... the breach is not only in the dyke, built to protect New Orleans, whose maintenance was put on hold to the amount of 71.2 million dollars in favour of the Irak War, but also in the traditional north-south balance... We now see poor Bangladesh and even Cuba offering aid to the so-called greatest world power (sic!)

» But those who pay the greatest price are the citizens. In this month of October 2005,
3’000 New Orleans city employees will lose their jobs as the city does not have the funds to pay them! It is because the Federal Government has embezzled public funds in order to finance BUSH & Cronies’ personal little war that the levees were not properly maintained. Hundreds of thousands of people are now carrying the burden for the fact that the Federal Government will not accept responsibility for past neglect of its duty to the people. If the money had not been embezzled by the President, if the levees had been maintained and had therefore not been breached, there would be no loss of jobs today !
